The Hydrogen Production Dashboard lets you explore and compare hydrogen production potential across regions through interactive maps and charts, with the option to filter results by production pathway. Clicking on a region in the map takes you to the Regional Dashboard, where you can access detailed insights for that specific region.
The following hydrogen-related indicators are included:
- Hydrogen production capacity [kt H₂/year] – yearly average. This indicator represents the potential hydrogen output from water electrolysis, based on the current and planned plants.
- Hydrogen plants localization/production capacity [kt H₂/year] – Mapping of existing and planned hydrogen production plants considered in this study.
Temporal time frames considered:
- current scenario, corresponding to the most recent year for which data are available in the International Energy Agency Hydrogen Production Projects Database (2025).
- reference future scenario, reporting hydrogen plants which are/will be operative in 2026-2055.
